About Us - Our Story
Our Shared and Deeply Personal Experience drove the development of WhatNow. Left with so many unanswered questions and mysteries, it was 2 months before we could even come back to properly mourn the loss of our Father. We acknowledge that this pattern is repeated daily. Our sincere hope is that our product, WhatNow, can alleviate the chaos and uncertainty prevalent during this ucertain and emotionally charged time.

My father was the kind of man who lived generously and responsibly—always there for family, friends, and community. But he was deeply private, especially about the things that felt personal: his age, his quietly declining health, and what he wanted when his time came. He had built a good life, with a Will tucked away in a drawer, but he never saw his assets or final wishes as complicated enough to fuss over.
When he passed, my brother, sister, and I were thrust into a scavenger hunt we never signed up for. We spent months piecing together the puzzle: hunting for forgotten documents, account numbers, passwords, insurance policies, and connections to banks, advisors, and utilities. His Will covered the basics, but the real details—the ones that truly mattered—were scattered everywhere.
Sharing this story with friends my age opened my eyes: this wasn't unique to us. It's a quiet crisis for so many families, where loved ones leave behind love and legacy, but no clear map to manage it.
That's why we built WhatNow. We make it simple, private, and proactive to organize your life’s details in one secure place—so your family can focus on healing, not hunting. No more scavenger hunts. Just clarity, when it matters most.
